Ryan O’Meara is the publisher of K9 Magazine, the lifestyle magazine for dog lovers. He lives in the East Midlands with his own two dogs, Mia and Chloe.
Ryan started his career with dogs as a professional dog trainer, working professionally with more than 2,000 dogs of various breeds and backgrounds and training and competing with his own, and clients dogs.
As his dog training career brought him in to closer contact with all aspects of the pet industry and in 1999 he undertook to set up the company he now heads today, Total Pet Publishing.
O’Meara’s K9 Media is now a European market leading (by market share) pet publishing company, producing more than 40 specialist pet titles attracting an audience of more than 8m global pet lovers.

Ryan is a commentator, writer and all round lover of dogs. In July 2009 his first book – Newshounds – will be released by the renowned US publishing firm; Lyons Press.
