A British dog is a finalist in the 2007 Weblog awards (Bloggies). Chocolate labrador about town, Woof Woofington, is also the only dog to make the Bloggies worldwide shortlist,(http://2007.bloggies.com), which was announced today (25 January 2007).  The Bloggies are the blog equivalent of the Oscars.

A hitherto well-kept secret among dog-lovers, Woof Woofington (www.woofwoof.typepad.com) gives her readers a unique canine perspective on modern life, with topics ranging from travelling on public transport in London to whether Hillary Clinton should use her dog to secure more votes in the Presidential elections.

She’s not short on opinions and is ready to tackle anything, from  commenting on environmental disasters to speculating
on the Beckhams’ move to LA. Her big passions are food, current affairs, food, animal welfare and …more food.

Woof Woofington  is a dog’s eye view on life – and life in the city.  It’s not about chasing sticks in the park or going to the vets.

Dog blogger, Woof Woofington said:

“I’m so thrilled to have been nominated for these prestigious awards!  Dogs are getting a lot of bad press right now so this is good news for a change. All I ask is that people vote for me.  A vote for me is a vote for dogs.  We need to get our voice out there.”
