South Wales Police are looking for a dog that has been sentenced to death under the Dangerous Dogs Act which has been stolen from a kennels in Cardiff.

The dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross named Tank bit several people in a city centre earlier in the year.

A girl of 14-years old was convicted of having an out-of-control dangerous dog in a public place, and an order for Tank to be destroyed was granted by the courts.

i feel sorry for the dog too, but if owners are iresponsible enough to let the dog be dangerously out of controll, the dog should be taken of them and rehomed. and isnt it illeagal to sell live animals to under 16s?

’14 year old girl charged by the police’, thought that if a ‘dog owner’ under 16 did anything wrong then the head of the household was responsible?

How many other such dogs or dogs of type too, manage to escape from kennels?

Stupid Law, doesn’t work and has got to be abolished !
This article sounds phoney. Copers lie anyway and I wouldn’t trust a single word they say !

Labs and corgies bite too… In fact a pitbull is one of not many breeds which is least likley to attack humans, unless they hv bin taught so by some moron.

In US if a pit (or any other breed) bites some1 it will be given a second chance and most probably rehabilitaded. Obviously the owner of a ‘dangerous dog’ will be prosecuted and banned from havin another animal 4 life.

    DEED NOT BREED !!

BULLIES 4 LIFE !! PUT THESE OWNERS ON DEATH ROW NOT DOGS !!

In the US the first thing to happen is that the dog is siezed and held to check for Rabies and then the biting incident is dealt with.

“DEED NOT BREED !!” Did you actually read the story? Stupid comments like that do the real DND workers no favours at all.

I don’t know how many but about 15years ago my kennels were targeted. The large padlocked gates were smashed in and then the concrete walls of two kennel blocks were broken through (right at the correct point in each case) and two siezed dogs were stolen, Section 3′s. Absolutely no doubt the owner was responsible but as the dogs were never seen again in our area, nothing could be proven.

A C, glad I’m not a copper any more otherwise I might have thought you were saying I was a liar but as I have never been a ‘coper’ I wouldn’t know if they lie or not.

With your nick name, lack of understanding and attitude you should be careful that kettle, pot and black don’t get attached to you.

May I congratulate you on your succinct and eloquent reply.
I will simply refer you back to the original story and my response to you. The story had nothing whatsoever to do with breed, it was purely about the deed. That is why I invited you to read the report again.
Please don't bother to respond. I won't be replying.
