World’s First Cloned Dog Has Bred

The world’s first cloned dog has sired his first litter of puppies say Korean scientists.

Snuppy, an Afghan Hound successfully impregnated two cloned Afghan females through artificial insemination according to Seoul National University.

“This is the first time in the world that puppies have been born from cloned parents,” team leader Lee Byung-Chun said.

There were 10 puppies in the litter, one died but the other 9 are all said to be in fine health.
