Sheena and Alexander Spence, of West Bromwich in the West Midlands were asked to look after the dog of a dying pensioner.
Rather than look after Laddie, they instead beat the animal to death before throwing him from a 5th floor balcony.
They were sentenced to 12-weeks in prison. But please, don’t be outraged at this poxy, measly, unjust punishment just yet. Because it’s been changed….
…yes, they appealed the sentence and instead served just 8 DAYS behind bars after a judge ruled the original sentence was too harsh.
Mrs Howells, the owner of Laddie, died and did not know of the pain and suffering caused to her dog.
However, her daughter-in-law Angela Howells was understandably shocked. “The judge said at the time that with the new sentencing guidelines that came into force this month that the starting point is custody for killing an animal,” she said. “It doesn’t seem like justice at all. To be out so soon is amazing.”
The pair pleaded guilty to causing the dog suffering and not taking reasonable steps to protect the dog.

Let me beat them, torture them and throw them off a balcony, they have less right than the dog to be here. This world is full of these horrible cruel people, and the law does not punish them.
Lets just hope they don’t have children!!.
Allesio, I agree with you whole-heartedly! I hope that at least the daughter-in-law will pursue a law suite and get a small amount of justice for the dog from the civil courts.
