Although on this occasion Mr Higgott's treatment and subsequently his behaviour was unacceptable and fell below that expected of a modern veterinarian, over his 20 year career he had been an excellent vet who treated many rescue dogs I had free of charge and wih care and compassion. He has saved the lives of many dogs and cats that other vets had given up on and he was compassionate.

It is a sad reflection on the RCVS who should have supported this sole practitioner earlier on when he wasnt getting it right, not keeping medical records and not undertaking CPD training.

I am sure that Mr Higgott regrets his treatment of both Fliss and her owner Mrs Cook and that he realises that his was absolutely unacceptable .Hopefully he can reflect and reconsider his future.
