Ex Partner of Lindsay Lohan Sorry for Dog Attack Death

DJ Samantha Ronson has used social networking to offer her condolences to the owner of a small Maltese dog her bulldog is believed to have killed in an attack on Monday, August 30 2010.

The ex-girlfriend of actress Lindsay was said to be walking with her bulldog, Cadillac, near her Los Angeles home when the dog is believed to have attacked the smaller breed.

Ms Ronson has posted messages of sorrow from her Twitter page, expressing her sadness over the incident.

In a series of posts, she says, "There is absolutely nothing I can say that will alter one minute of today, nothing.

"I feel incredibly sad and wish I could offer more than condolences, unfortunately there are no words to describe how sorry I am."

Dog on dog fatalities are extremely rare, however owners are advised to be vigilant at all times and to understand the physical capabilities of their dog should an attack ever break out. Recognising the signs of aggression and predicting potential conflict between dogs is key to avoiding similar, tragic outcomes. Smaller dogs are, by nature of their size, more susceptible to suffer serious or fatal injuries in the event of a physical altercation with large, powerful breeds.
