Stolen Dog Recovered by Dog Warden
Posted By Neil Burton Date: 11/07 Posted Under: Dog NewsWhippet/Lurcher cross Daisy who disappeared from her owners garden in Alvediston near Salisbury on Weds 2nd July 2008 has been found by Salisbury District Council Dog Warden Mrs Sam Stuchfield.
Sam received information that a dog answering Daisy’s description had been seen on a temporary travellers site in the Salisbury area.
Without wasting a moment, Sam and husband Kieron who is also part of the Dog Warden team at Salisbury raced to the site on the afternoon of Thursday 10th July 2008 and negotiated with the people who claimed they had bought the dog off some fellow travellers at a site in Southampton.
Sam had taken a photograph of Daisy with her and also scanned Daisy in front of the travellers to prove that she belonged to another person
‘My heart was racing during the negotiations’ she said, ‘but after I explained the situation I was able to get Daisy away from the site’
Daisy’s overjoyed owner was contacted and collected her from Sam and Kieron later that afternoon.

Well done Sam and Kieron. I saw Daisy on Doglost and am so glad that you were brave enough to take such decisive action.
Bet Daisy is glad to be home.
