This is a wonderful idea. Dogs are certainly no harder to deal with than their owners. A place that allows pets will help a lot to get the homeless and their animals off the streets during bad times. Many times people can't get help because they won't give up their friends for a room or a hot mea. I'm very pleased that they include vet care and facilities for the pets. I do hope they go very easy on the behavioral assessment as these animals may be as traumatized as their owners and may need a bit of understanding and patience for their own quirks.

I hope the Salvation Army in the USA takes this example and starts it too.
