I am just so totally mystified at why Credit and Doobie are so hung up on "this charity issue" thingy? I guess they have their own personnel issues and beef in all this of which we are not apart of. I do though find it immensely endearing that we have been introduced to this little Andrex puppy EJ, via a K9 update, truly the life blood of any assistance dog organisation I would have thought. One would have had to have lived on the Planet Mars not to have heard of his predecessor, Endal, and I am actually very intrigued to see how a dog of this phenomenal caliber is going to be replaced after such an illustrious career. I have some words of advice for EJ though "do wear you stab proof jacket at all times because the knifes are out!". I hope that we are kept updated on EJ's progress which I will personally follow with great interest. As I already regularly donate to one of the major Assistance dogs organisations in the UK it interests me greatly at the possible cost saving to these groups of an individual training up their own helping hound. Go young EJ Go, you have a fan here already xx

Credit makes valid points - a charity with only one face lacks depth. Surely there must be other dogs who are just as good within the charity? Let's hear more about them and not about a puppy which may or may not cut the mustard as an assistance dog in perhaps 2 years time!

I truly find it amazing that all these added comments are actually nothing more than personal attacks and gripes... on what is merely a successful working partnership between man and dog(s). It is such a shame that all these voices fail to use their real names but instead hide under a cloak of anonymity but such is the nature of the internet these days. All this back biting and negativity stinks of nothing more than petty jealousy and envy. I have met this team many times at Crufts and they have represented all that is good in the assistance dog world.

Historically... it is apparent that "Patience" has constantly attacked any article about Endal which has appeared on the K9 web site ...I can only imagine that Endal must find all this most flattering to think he is such an important point of focus in this particular person's life! I do have to wonder though if this person is capable of having any "real life" relationship other than in cyber space in this manner?

I find it an inspiration that Mr Parton is prepared to undertake and train up his own successor dog himself and in doing so, presumably, freeing up a dog from the training school for another disabled person. I can't believe for one moment that this is an easy option to choose but I have a sneaky admiration for this gentlemen, that he will achieve and EJ will be the most worthy of successors to Endal.

A just have to wonder whether EJ will equally become the target of this particular group small minded group of people during his career. Human nature can be quirky at times.

Dont forget that allegedly Mr Parton and Endal are the sole faces of this organisation.

It seems that nobody else is allowed any airtime in case it may affect the Allen and Endal story.

How can Endal operate a chip and pin machine, can he actually input the numbers using his paw, how does he recognise them?

Assistance dogs are brilliant, but there are lots of them that are basically unsung hero's that work really hard with their partners in whatever specialist role they are employed. Whilst Endal is apparently smarter than Lassie and Skippy the Bush Kangaroo together, there are other dogs out there working just as hard and diligently.

How about hearing about them too?

Is there also a Royal Navy warship called HMS Arizona Joy, I have heard about the USS Arizona (US Navy)

Not having a go at either Mr Parton or Endal, just think that as an organisation Canine Partners should perhaps include and publicise other partnerships.

So with Canine Partners you find your own puppy to train as a successor dog? What a strange policy.

Most programs provide a fully trained successor dog for the partner and you would not have to wait two years for the training of a puppy.

Is this the same Endal Junior that I heard about during the Crufts radio programme in 2007? Surely, he must be at least 18 months old by now?
