Political Leaders Dogged By Comparisons

A UK poll has revealed that the electorate see Labour PM Gordon Brown as a St Bernard, leader of the opposition David Cameron as a Labrador and Lib Dem chief Nick Clegg as a Chihuahua.

Clegg has said he is more than happy to have been compared to the diminutive toy breed. He told the Politics Show he saw the breed as “tenacious little dogs”.

“I think the Chihuahua lovers out there watching this wouldn’t want me to insult that particular dog,” he said upon being quizzed as to whether he aspired to be compared to other breeds such as the Rottweiler.
