Dog Attacked With Iron Bar in Pet Theft Case

Police have slammed cruel dog theives who attacked a dog with an iron bar before stealing a litter of puppies.

The BBC reports:

Youths attacked a dog with an iron bar before stealing his mate and their five new-born puppies from a garden in Sheffield, police said.

Witnesses saw two teenage boys hitting the Staffordshire Bull Terrier outside a house in the Firth Park area.

    This incident highlights why it is unwise to leave any dog or dogs unattended in the front or back garden of properties. They become too easy a target for thieves, if you can afford to, you should consider a secure compound for a dog. The fact that anybody who can hit a dog with an iron bar now has a number of puppies in their possession is very worrying.

    Hopefully these puppies and the other dog will soon be reunited with ther owner, I hope that the injured dog is okay?
