Man Stabbed Puppy to Death After Being Rejected for Job

Sean Bushell-Clarke, a 26 year old man from Liverpool, has been jailed for four months and banned from keeping animals for five years after a court heard how he stabbed and punched a puppy to death.

Bushell-Clarke killed Benji, a Labrador x Husky, after he received a rejection letter for a job he had applied for, magistrates in Liverpool heard.

He then buried the dog’s body in a shallow grave in his garden.

He admitted punching the four-month old puppy approximately 10 times before stabbing the animal in the back.

The RSPCA were called by a  member of the public.

An RSPCA inspector remarked:

“This was a shocking and wanton act of cruelty, carried out mercilessly and without provocation. The sentence reflects the callous and cruel nature of this case, and I’m very pleased with the result.

“There’s no excusing what this man did. He showed complete disregard for the life he was taking, or the suffering he caused in doing so.”

  1. Ordinary Dog Owner says:

Four months, why not forty years?

As usual, keep this vile thing’s (not worthy of being called a creature)namke in mind, he will be out of prison in a couple of months then he will move up a species and attack a human.

If animal abusers on this level were sentenced to an automatic 10 years in jail then maybe there would be saome protection for animals?

On the other side of the coin, handguns are supposed to be outlawed but every other week something happens involving handguns, what about making possession during a crime a life imprisonment term, then ten years for killing a defenceless creature would not look so draconian, but 10 years banged up in the sex offender wing because prisoners do not like people who are cruel to animals would seem like a lifetime to an animal abuser.
