Animals play a significant role in Haiti, both in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake and in the lengthy road to recovery.

The Government of Haiti has requested immediate assistance from the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) to help with the emergency relief operation. WSPA along with other animal welfare organisations that have come together as the Animal Relief Coalition for Haiti (ARCH) will be in Haiti this weekend.
