Hi Paul. Just like to say I know how you feel. Lost my dog on Saturday.
My wife and I moved into our present accommodation with Bromsgrove Housing Trust a couple of months ago after 35 years in a tide house. The property was listed as dogs allowed and as we had a dog Sweep we new this would be necessary. Last Saturday after a short illness he died. We have had dogs for 40 years and Sweep was my best friend after my wife. As before when we lost a dog we went to-day to look to re-homing and were told we would have to have written permition. We were told this afternoon by the Trust we were not allowed to replace a dog that has died. We would not have moved here if we had known this and we are devastated. What sort of people would do this to other human beings. I am at a loss.
Hope you find it in yourself to take on another dog.

Poor Paul – My heart breaks for him.I have just been reading all the comments from people.I couldn’t stop crying. I am sitting here with my two beloved little yorkshire terriers by my side and I cannot begin to think of the pain I will feel when they have to go. It is heart warming to see that the vast majority of the comments were from lovely lovely people who really cared. I feel truely sorry for the occasional person with the smart comment of ‘Whats the fuss about -It’s only a dog’. They must have very empty lives never to have experienced the warmth and love of a little animal.

I think Buster was a Shih Tzu / Bichon Frise cross.

Yes this is terrible news about dear old Buster Paul will be in bits over it. I have gone through this many times with all the animals I have but dogs seem to be the worst to get over if you ever do. They are such good companions and with you all the time, as Buster was with Paul. One show he was doing years ago he was told no dogs allowed so he said no dog no me and they gave in. On his show in Monday which is a live one he is going to do a tribute to Buster which will be very hard for him. I was very disgusted with a lot of nasty comments some people have said on one of the news programmes where you can leave comments so I left a comment about what I thought of those disgusting people. Some people are so heartless and I really hope they suffer great sadness in their lives. I am sure that most people are thinking of Paul at this terrible time I know I am.
