Animal testing is a vital part of medical research - many of the drugs we have available today to prevent, treat and cure diseases would not exist were it not for animal research. These drugs have saved millions of lives worldwide.

Researchers and pharmaceutical companies are striving to replace animals with more humane methods, but this is a gradual process. Until then, they work towards reduction and refinement.

Animals in labs are also kept in much better conditions that people are led to believe. The conditions of many pets are far worse, especially when you see what RSPCA inspectors have to deal with every day.

I have no problem with protestors so long as they are peaceful, I think this ruling was very positive.

We have been testing on animals for well over 100 years and look where it has got us......nowhere. All animal testing is for monetary gain only and I would argue with anyone who disagrees. Maybe we should test our products and medicines on rapists, and serial killers, anyone else agree?

Research using animals is barbaric and outdated. The practice of vivisection only guarantees continued grant money and funding. It has nothing at all to do with human welfare. We are simply pawns in their game of greed with their only desire to pad their own pockets and keep their jobs.
Animal testing tells us nothing reliable or consistent. We need only to look at the hundreds of products out on the market that have offered 'approved' animal test results and yet humans were being hurt and even dying.
They need to be stopped. Keep protesting!!
