No win situation for the dogs. Who has prosecuted Mr Beard, the police or is it the RSPCA acting as a charity funded by the general public but acting as an enforcement arm of the government? If it is the RSPCA they are therefore using donations that people make for the general helping of animals but are being used to bring prosecutions that other organisations should be bringing?

Alex, the dogs are stated as being pit bull terriers. Theres no chance of the owner getting them back registered (and rightly so) but the dogs will still be killed if they arent already.

At least the dog was still alive and well, an RSPCA vet would have killed the dog, injured or not.
