what a wonderful story. my american bulldog also saved my son in a house fire. i was screaming for my son to get out of his room after waking up for the loo at 5.30 am to discover the upstairs ablaze. luckily my 10 stone ab had abit more nowse than me and could not be dragged from the room into the hallway. i tried to get up to them but felt a massive burning in my throat as i tried to get up to them. i realised i would be dead in seconds and that if my son had of come out that way they would have been burnt to death or suffered massive smoke inhalation and died anyway. i got my son to jump out of the window and i went up a ladder and got my dog out by throwing him out of the window. he dropped rolled and got to his feet as if he had only fallen a short distance.
i was asked to do an article on this by a freelance journalist but when she discovered how many dogs i had she wanted to base the story on that and not on what a hero my dog is. such a shame as i would have loved to have educated the ignorant on what faithfull dogs these really are. willing to risk thier own lives in order to save thier loved one.

How long before the 'red-tops' claim that the Rottweiler was making dinner and it failed to keep an eye on the cooker! They come up with worse stuff than that!
