Bruce’s case is just another example of what is basically racism by the authorities towards dogs that through no fault of their own, are born looking a certain way. Whilst the police are busy seizing well loved harmless family pets, leaving greyhounds to starve to death in their kennels for two weeks, and leaving their own serving dogs in their cars to die of heat exhaustion, they dare to preach to the rest of the population.

This is racism pure and simple and it is also animal cruelty and neglect, and yet the police, the RSPCA and everyone else claiming to care about animals, and who would be very happy to prosecute any member of the public for the same actions, sit back and do nothing.

Are we all to sit terrified in our houses in case an interfering busy body neighbour reports us for having a wrong looking dog? Are we to hide indoors in case the police seize our pets whilst out for a walk because they don’t like the way it looks? This is meant to be a civilised country and yet crap like this still exists and is allowed to carry on freely. And worse still even when our pets are proved to be totally innocent they are at best kept in terrible conditions away from their families, and suffer neglect and emotional abuse until they are returned to their families – and that is the best case scenario here. The rest are disposed of without their owners even being informed or ordered to be put down by pedantic heartless idiots clearly consumed by their own power.

This situation is an absolute disgrace and these ‘people’ and I use the term loosely should be ashamed of themselves. And jumping on the bandwagon and pretending to care like these charities have is just not on – either put up or shut up as they say. I would never again donate money to any of them if this is how they use their significant influence to help those in need.

The reason I say this is, if you ‘amend’ the law it still makes no guarantee that the dogs get to live, they still have to have their fate decided in court, they still have to go through all the trauma of being boxed up for any amount of time.

This of course could be stopped if you repealed the law, please RSPCA practice what you preach and ACTUALLY prevent cruelty to animals, the only way this could be achieved is by repealing the legislation all together.

No ifs no buts a repeal and NOT a cover up, I have reason to believe that the new that was proposed and of course rejected, known as the ‘control of dogs bill’ was in fact a code name for DDA and of course I don’t support that either.
