A dog owner is celebrating after being reunited with her dog nearly a year after it went missing in Dublin.

279 miles from where the dog theft occurred, Laura Cleary received news that her beloved terrier x poodle had been found in London.

Laura was so desperate to be paired up again with her faithful friend, she even hired a private detective to help find out what had happened to Holly. 9 months later and the trail ended at Battersea dogs home who informed her that the dog had been found in Harrow.

“They tracked me down through information on Holly’s microchip,” said Ms Cleary.

“Holly was stolen from our house after she somehow got out into the garden.

I posted flyers in shop windows and hired a pet detective – we even offered financial rewards.

I’m going over on the ferry to Holyhead and will drive the six-hour journey down to Battersea to get her back – I can’t wait.”
