Battersea’s Got Talent! Doggie-dancing stars Jackie and Tippy-Toes to appear at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Old Windsor, Open day and fun dog show
On 27 June 2009 Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will be hosting its annual Old Windsor Open Day and fun dog show. A fun-filled (and doggie-filled) afternoon awaits all of our visitors, and there will be a special guest appearance by stars of Britain’s Got Talent, Battersea’s own Jackie and Tippy-Toes!
The dynamic duo managed to get to the semi-finals of Britain’s best know talent show with their fantastic doggie-dancing routines. From your screens to Battersea, Old Windsor; Jackie and Tippy-Toes will be wowing the crowds at this year’s Open Day and fun dog show.
There will plenty to do for all human and canine guests and you don’t have to own a dog to get involved; there will be plenty of Battersea residents eager to meet and greet the Home’s guests! For those who are feeling energetic there will be a 5k sponsored dog walk which supporters can take part in from 11am.
Perhaps your dog would like to have a go at one of our doggie games, or maybe you’d like to enter him in the doggie fancy-dress competition which starts at 12 noon. If you’re in the mood for some retail therapy, why not pay a visit to our shop or one of the many stands, or indulge your sweet tooth with some tea and cake?
Kaye Mughal, Centre Manager at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Old Windsor said,
“We are so excited to be hosting the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Old Windsor, Open Day and fun dog show for the fifth time. Every year we look forward to welcoming back old four-legged friends and meeting new ones; it promises to be a really special day for all local dog and cat lovers. “
“This year will be particularly special as Jackie and Tippy-Toes will be performing a doggie-dancing routine for our guests to enjoy. Please come along and help us raise vital funds for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.”
