Is there not a single politician in the whole UK that does a day’s work apart from
feathering their nests, and being caught with their hands in the cookie jar.I find it
absolutely unbeleivable that the Dog-fighting laws are still a couple of hundred years
behind the times, and a law like BSL is still in existence..Is the UK still considered
a civilised country or is it becoming 3rd world.

its a sad fact that humans use animals for sick purposes. animal experimentation is one. every six seconds an animal dies horrifically in a british laboratory for the sake of needless experimentations, that can be far more effectively acheived through the use of human cells and computers. this is an archaic practice which is more to do with lining the profits of multinational companies than for the sake of finding cures to eleviate human suffering. compare that to the amount of fatal dog attacks and you will see that man is far worse than beast. another detestable practice is pitting beautiful loyal creatures against one another, often having to fight to the death in order to survive for the sake of entertainment. in the right hands a bulldog, be it an english, american, staffordshire or pitbull is a wonderful loyal companion whos fearless courage can be utilised by the brainless idiots who fight them or use them for protection. these weak minded idiots have created a situation whereby animals are killed purely for thier breed. we need a system where all so called dangerous dog owners pay a licence fee. with the proceeds going towards a special task force infiltrating the dog fight gangs and putting these thugs behind bars. as an owner of american bulldogs i would be happy to pay a yearly fee in order to know that something is being done on my behalf. ceaser milan, the dog whisperer is truely a champion of all dogs and i hope him putting some pressure on britain to rethink thier veiws on pitbulls will finally serve to end the madness that is breed ban legislation. thankyou ceaser

Hi Claire, I agree with your comments but with a slight difference. I don’t think that some dog owners should have to pay a fee to own certain types of dogs and that others do not. All dog owners should be treated as equals and if a dog (of any breed) is causing a problem then talk to that owner and punish “them” accordingly. With regards to money to fight dog fighting, if you get rid of BSL then the millions of pounds of tax payers money can be diverted to this much more worthy cause. Britain needs to catch up with other countries like Holland and get rid of BSL for good.

Claire, that’s still BSL! It’s bad enough now having only one ‘type’ to be identified as such. Who would be the identifiers? Not me thanks.
