It's interesting reading all the information available regarding arthritis and osteoarthritis. My dog recently suffered damaged knee ligaments and we were told she would proably need an operation but to rest her to see how it went.
Also some friends of ours have a dog suffering from arthritis.
Glucosamine condroiten is recommended for relief of arthritis and to support the healing process on many web sites for pets.
My wife and I have a business selling nutritional products.
One of these products is 100% pure bovine collagen hydrolysate.
This product has been found during clinical trials at Liverpool University and in Penn State University in Pennsylvania America to have a positive effect on degenerative joint desease.
I use collagen as I have suffered back pain ever since I had a major disc operation. Since taking this particular collagen, after about two months I have virtually no back or related pain.
Any way to cut a long story short we give our dog, a very active ten year old collie collagen following her vet visit. We are convinced her recovery speed was supported by the collogen.
The dog I mentioned earleir that suffered from arthritic pain has had a new lease of life with very little signs of arthritc pain following continued use of collogen.
In fact on the basis of a lot more evidence given by pet owners that are using this product the company are now producing collagen labelled for dogs and cats. It is the same type 1 and type 2 100% pure bovine collogen used in the trials and also used successfully by British Olympic ahtletes to aid recovery from serious ligament and soft tissue injuries.
If you would like to take alook at the product go to www.innerhealthnbeauty.com or contact Paul Finlay email: pfinlay@btinternet.com. or mobile 07734413713
I can provide a paper discussing the trials or give you more information if you would like to try this for your pets as a natural alternative to relieving degenerative joint desease pain.
