Dog Found Skinned and Decapitated in Hampshire
December 10, 2007 by Neil Burton
Test Valley Borough Council Dog Warden Rod Mason made a grisly discovery when he was called to a park in the middle of Andover Hampshire by the Police after a member of the public rang in to report that there was the remains of a dead dog in the park.
On arrival Rod discovered that the head and skin of the dog had been removed? The body was about the size of a whippet but due to its condition Rod could not be 100% sure that it was in fact a dog so he took it to the local vets for a positive breed identification
Veterinary Surgeons told Rod that they were 90% sure it was a small Whippet type dog but they could not confirm this without an autopsy being performed.
The remains of the dog are being kept at a secure location on behalf of the Police pending further investigation of this case.
