I've never understood why people (media, television etc) are allowed to call certain breeds dangerous as this has been proven to be factually incorrect. If I were to call a race of people vicious thugs just because the actions of some then I would be prosecuted and probably sued (rightly so). So how can these lies be the only so called facts that the general public hear? It's great to see on this site that the truth is being told but it would be even better if this could reach the whole nation rather than just the doggie people that come to this web site. The general public are told lies on a regular basis by people that are portrayed as "experts" so they believe it as the truth. Why is this allowed? Start prosecuting people for telling the public things that are not true i.e not proven facts. I agree totally with your comments of how to punish dog fighters.....lock them up and throw away the key!! Also a LARGE fine to pay for the rehabilitation of the poor dogs. (For anybody whose going to comment about "rehabilitating fighting dogs" before thinking, please go and watch the Dog Town episode about the confiscated Vicks dogs). It is nice to see that most people that comment on the Pit Bull articles are stating that they are tired of people blaming the dogs and the owners (of all breeds)should be held responsible.
