Highland Spring Water Is To Use Lassie In Advert Campaign: The world’s most recognised dog, Lassie is to star in a new advertisement campaign by Highland Spring called ‘Iconic Love’.

Featuring alongside other famous tender moments from films of the 1930’s and 1940’s, Lassie will feature in a new poster and press advertising campaign.

The posters show a black and white scene from Lassie Come Home (1943) where a young Roddy McDowall receives a bottle of Highland Spring from Lassie. The strap line used is ”Now, that’s true love”.

The ad campaign was released yesterday, with a billboard at the site of the 2012 Olympic village in east London.

A press campaign will be released in June and will feature double page spreads in magazines such as; Vogue, Cosmopolitan and The Sunday Times.

Sally Stanley, the marketing director, said that they wanted to stand out from ‘predictable’ ads.
