Dogs Trust Ireland Appoints Exec Director
6 months into building Dogs Trust Dublin Rehoming Centre new “face of Ireland” is appointed
Dogs Trust dog welfare charity is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Beazley as Executive Director of Dogs Trust Ireland. Mark’s extensive experience and knowledge in the animal welfare world will be a huge asset to the charity’s presence in Ireland.
Mark was with the ISPCA for 6 years, 3 as CEO. Within this time he consolidated the ISPCA’s position as the “National Animal Welfare Charity”. He oversaw and drove the development of the ISPCA Inspectorate and the expansion of the organisation’s operational capabilities.
Mark told us:
“It is an honour to be in this position. Dogs Trust is a highly respected and reputable charity and I look forward to being involved in all the plans for Dogs Trust Ireland going forward. The Rehoming Centre will provide everything an abandoned dog needs to get him back on his paws again including the dedication of our specially trained staff. It will be conveniently located off the Ashbourne Road so it will be easy to get to from both North and South of Dublin.”
It has been 6 months since Amy Huberman and Lisa Fitzpatrick helped us celebrate the start of building of the state of the art Rehoming Centre off the Ashbourne Road. The development has come on in doggy leaps and bounds and the once mud bath is now starting to look like a wonderful facility for stray and abandoned dogs. The Rehoming Centre is due to be up and running by the end of 2009 and will care for many hundreds of stray and abandoned dogs form all over Ireland each year.
Dogs Trust was established in Ireland in 2005 and its mission is to bring an end to the destruction of stray and abandoned dogs through a national responsible dog ownership campaign, including neutering* and an education programme.

Brilliant now they can keep Irish strays in Ireland and not have Dogs Trust shipping them over into the UK where they fill up kennel space paid for by British supporters.
Good luck Dogs Trust Ireland.

I can see you really like dogs then. So much that you’d rather see them put down in ireland than find a good home.

Research what you are going to talk about before making an attack on someone you know absolutely nothing about.
The first part of Gnashers comment was factual the second was wishing them well which I wholeheartedly agree with.

Hi Dave the Dog
Thanks for pointing out to Steve that I really was wishing them well and the fact that presumably they would be relying on funding from the Republic of Ireland in stead of funding from UK donors?
My point as you will no doubt be aware is that we need to sort out the problem of strays in our own backyard first before people like the Dogs Trust go off telling others how to do things!
Steve
Thanks for your sarcastic comment, I do like dogs but I am a relaist who believes that we need to sort out our own problems before going off to other countries, are you aware that the Republic of Ireland is separate from the UK?
