Visitors to this year’s Crufts dog show will not be affected by any of the planned protests by animal campaigners, the Kennel Club have said.

Speaking to GleeWire, Kennel Club secretary Caroline Kisko reassured would-be Crufts visitors that their enjoyment of the show would not interrupted by protestors at the NEC:

“Both the Kennel Club and the NEC have considerable experience of dealing with similar incidents in the past, and would like to reassure visitors and exhibitors at Crufts that any protest will be carefully managed to prevent it from spoiling their enjoyment of the show.”

I believe that removing crufts coverage from the BBC was wrong because although i do not agree with the intense breeding programes that some breeders operate with, crufts also does many different events for many different audiences, take agility, all differents breeds of all sizes can compete, even mongrals. Obedience classes and the dancing dogs performance from Mary, as we all know ANY dog needs exercise dissipline and affection, and we should be premoting sports like these as they are good for the dogs and the owners. Also the friends for life, dogs like these should be publicised left right and centre for the hard work they deliver to help the lifestyles of disabled and those less fortunate than ourselves. So even if it means that the BBC don't show the 'show quality' dogs on telly at least premote these other events to make breeders aware that there dogs could be used for other purposes as well as showing.
