WHAT A STUPID LAW!!! Do the owners not have daily access to the dogs so they can check on their welfare? Whatever - health checks should be done when the dog is taken into custody and weekly by a qualified independent vet, so that the dogs welfare can be assured. Disgusting that these poor innocent dogs are suffering at the hands of the authorities - but what else can we expect from this government? Dogs dying whilst in the care and custody of the police is very concerning.
