Even thou Holly, something need do be done for some breeds health, and even if its just some breeds standard that need to be reviewed I think its great that Someone (BBC) acctually takes action. Its far far from every pedigree breeder that dose it.

I very much doubt it Holly and the RSPCA are no more qualified to judge either, perhaps they should look at themselves and their numerous instances of being beyond useless before judging others.

It's great that the RSPCA are actually doing SOMETHING for once, whether it's actually worthwhile is another matter.

Current breed standards need to be reviewed in 'some' breeds, but inbreeding is not unjustifiable, and is warranted in some instances. I dont personally believe that the general public and K9 magazine are educated enough on dog breeding and showing to give an opinion as to the future of Crufts, and indeed all dog breeding. From the people who show their dogs, the statements given in this magazine show a lack of understanding and education. Is anyone in this magazine actively involved in showing/breeding, I guess not?
