My name is Robyn Heap, I am a Dairy Farmer and Cheese Maker. On the 4th of January 2010, both my Neapolitan Mastiff's went missing on our farm during a snow storm. They got confused and went over the hill. We went all over our farm to look for them. About 9:30pm we went out to look for them and tell all our neighbours on the other side of the hill to look out for them. We also told our neighbours that both dog's were stock proof. Both dog's were trained to work cattle. All we asked was for a phone call if they was spotted. The next day we informed all the authorities and put out a £1,000 reward. The dog's were pet's and had never and would never also be used for breeding. Both had been booked down for the chop and the chip. On the 14th of January 2010 a person responded to our ad in the local paper. Both dog's had been shot by a neighbour under the cloak of sheep worrying. The witness to the shooting also told us the guy who had shot them knew they belonged to 'the cheese woman' (myself)I have since found out, he went out with the sole intention of shooting the dog's with the knowledge that they was no harm to stock and who they belonged to. He also admitted that he called the dog's over, they went to him and he shot them at close range. He and another neighbour hid the bodies and tried to cover the incident up. He had 48hrs to notify the police, he did not. We went around to see him and he denied the shooting, then admitted to it, then told us he was going to shoot us. The police have done NOTHING as per usual about the threats of murdering us with a gun and NOTHING over reporting shooting the dog's. The guy who shot them we now know that he has done this all his life. He is 70 years old, going deaf and his eyesight is not perfect. YET the police grant him a licence for gun's under the cloak of protecting his sheep that he only keeps to claim Government subsidies on. Hence he has a brand new Tractor and LAND ROVER SAT OUTSIDE HIS RENTED PROPERTY WHICH HE RENTS OFF YORKSHIRE WATER. Subsidies that Farmers receive off the Government are no different that benefits claimed by dole scrongers. The police will take no action against him. I am taking him to Court under civil law. These days the police have no powers and if you want justice you have to pay for it.

Just been on to www.pwetabuse.com, this animal abusers name is not on it, but sadly there are several similar UK incidents of dogs being shot with various types of weapons.

What a nation of animal lovers we are.........not!

What an absolute disgrace, this Chairman of a Parish Council should be sacked from being on the Parish Council let alone being the Chairman of it! Surely there must be something that can be done against this animal abuser, what about getting his name onto the www.petabuse.com website as a petabuser so that at least there will be a public record of this horrendous crime via the internet and local media?

What is ironic is that district and borough councils investigate noise pollution caused by music, shouting, car repairs, machinery and animals, so why could this vile creature not go through the correct channels if there was any kind of noise nuisance?

Ordinary folk like ourselves have to ring the council to complain, obviously this animal abuser just decided that he was too important to ring the council responsible for environmental matters in the area to go through the correct procedure, what an example to set to parishioners, dont bother to follow the law of the land or any kind of procedures, just kill an animal to resolve the issue instead.

Surely the man has resigned from the parish council now, or his fellow councillors have kicked him off, if not why not!
