A host of celebrities turned out last week for a prestigious fundraising event at The Imperial War Museum on behalf of Canine Partners (Registered Charity No. 803680), a charity specialising in providing highly trained assistance dogs to people with disabilities.

Star guests at the auction led by Lord Hindlip, which raised over £100K, included Baroness Thatcher, Lord Tebbitt, Kirsty Allsopp, Clare Francis and Martin Clunes.

Two hundred and fifty guests attended on the night, which was orchestrated by a group of tireless volunteers led by Lady Pearson of Rannoch, to raise vital funds to support the ever growing number of people with disabilities that are applying for a Canine Partner.

Canine Partners trains dogs for two years at a cost of £10,000 to master an amazing list of skills and helps transform the lives of people with major disabilities, from all walks of life and all over Great Britain; and in doing so, helps them back into education and employment. Apart from practical skills, the dogs also enable significant therapeutic benefit, providing the recipients with constant love and companionship.
