As an ex copper I would have to agree, Sentencing of animal abusers is inconsistent and archaic, a sentence of just 6 months for the mutilation of a dog is abhorent, yet its one that is likey to be passed by the courts. This disgrace for a human being should have been made to work in an animal shelter for a year without pay to appreciate her actions. I do hope her details have been recorded by her local social services for the future, she may well be the next baby killer .
isnt it about time we held a record of convicted animal abusers akin to the sex offenders register.
Personally I hope she rots in hell .....

In 1999, National Dog Warden Association Life Member Cuthbert Jackson was the author of a report entitled NDWA 2000.

In the report a link between a high tendency for animal abusers to go on to abuse people at a later stage was shown through a number of case studies.

Some people were sceptical of the report at the time, one even being extremely angry with NDWA at what had been written? However more recently a similar report has been doing the rounds pointing out something that NDWA was discussing in 1999!

Now we have this K9 Magazine article highlighting animal cruelty with an animal abuser smirking in court at the sentence handed down, perhaps it is time for NDWA 2000 to be recirculated by NDWA to raise awareness amongst the public?
