Great Big Dog Litter for Great Big Dog

From today’s Sun Newspaper:

NOW that’s what you call a big letter – 15 GREAT DANES.

Their mum, two-year-old pedigree blue Macey, gave birth to 16 during a 20-hour labour.

Sadly, one pup died. Owners Daniel and Jennifer Wilding – who expected only four or five new arrivals – are keeping one and looking for homes for the other 14. Daniel, 29, of Urmston, Greater Manchester, said it was hard finding room for them to sleep.

He added: “We’ve got our hands full, that’s for sure.

Macey is perfectly fine and so are the pups.

“They are just starting to walk around and play with each other – it’s lovely.”

Kristine Pearson, of nearby Trafford Veterinary Centre, said: “Macey’s done really well.”

Hope her little bundles of joy don’t drive their owners barking.
