Hi Joanna

Well done on rescuing this dog off the road.

Are you writing that you contacted Aberdeen Council who came out to collect the dog off you?

Dont worry about the SSPCA taking all the credit for your rescue, they are as adept as their English cousins the RSPCA for stealing the thunder from the right people!

So at the end of the day, Joanna found the dog and the local authority came out for it, why the spin that the SSPCA rescued it?

Credit where credit is due please.

Hi There
My name is Joanna Bowie.
I found the surviving dog in the middle of the road in rush hour traffic on Monday at 7.45; it was sat in the middle of the road with cars rushing past it. I pulled over and made all other cars stop, and managed to encourage it to come to me with dog biscuits and bundled it into my car and took it to work. I called the SSPCA at 7.50, and was advised to contact the local animal welfare through Aberdeen City Council; they came out and collected the dog from me at 9.30am. I was sickened to see how skinny the dog was and fed it milky porridge as that is all I had at work. I was hoping to stay in touch with dog and am saddened to say that I have been denied any access to visit the dog despite the fact that it was my self that rescued it. I am of course happy that the dog is happy, going to be ok and is being cared for but since the event have been quite upset that the press have not mentioned that it was a member of the public that rescued the dog and not the SSPCA as reported.
