Any dog that causes an incident is usually shot by the Met Police, is it the same officer doing the shooting? How many dogs have been shot by the Met recently, is it around 4? First there was the dog that was 'licking' its owner who had collapsed and died in the street, the vox populi changed that to it was 'eating the man alive', so it was shot. Then there have been the other incidents, what is interesting is that the Met Police seem to do all the dog work in London, what do the London borough dog wardens do instead of dealing with out of control dogs? Do they not have any dog wardens in London anymore?
